Want to get the iPhone 3GS but think that it’s too pricey? Well, maybe an 8GB iPhone 3GS for $99 deal would help? This is still firmly in the “rumor” category, but word is going around that Apple is contemplating releasing said device for $99 as a method for combating Motorola’s DROID. We certainly wouldn’t mind a cheaper iPhone 3GS, even though it’s an 8GB version, at least it provides more options for end users, right?

What do you do when you want to feel like you’re driving a V10 powered supercar, but can’t afford one? Well, you could always go for the Soundracer, which fits right into your car’s cigarette lighter port, and uses an FM transmitter to play a real V8 or V10 engine sound effects to the stereo. According to SoundRacer’s website, the sounds actually correspond to the RPMs of your car’s engine, which is quite cool (technologically). Check out a video of it in action here.

With all the netbooks nowadays hovering around the 10.1-inch display design, would you want something smaller? We’re not sure if Sagem is taking things to the extreme with its Spiga, but if you want something that will fit into your sling bag without any problems; the 4.8-inch Spiga will certainly fit the bill. It’s powered by a 1.1GHz Intel Atom processor, sports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and a webcam. It might seem a tad pricy at 499 Euros ($740) though. Check out a video of it in action here.

It wasn’t too long ago that Bell dropped the asking price of the Palm Pre to CAD $149.95, but (probably thanks to the holiday season) the price has further plummeted to CAD $99.95, albeit with a 3-year contract, but who cares, right? Would you pick up the Palm Pre for that price, and accept the 3-year contract?

Add to myYahoo!Does Apple like playing cat-and-mouse with various parties? Well, if the iTunes and Palm Pre issue is anything to go buy, Apple might get a little satisfaction out of it. You might have read the recent news of the latest OSX builds working (or not working) on Netbooks. After it seems that everything was OK in hackintosh-land, latest reports seem to indicate that OSX doesn’t jive with those again. Check out the video.
