USB Big Fan cools you down

USB Big Fan cools you down

Summer is slowly but surely making its way into our lives, but along with the sunshine you will have to endure the unbearable heat that accompanies each summer. The USB Big Fan is touted to offer some much needed relief from the harsh heat as you work on your computer. Powered by any available USB port, the USB Big Fan comes with an adjustable wind speed and retails for $11.50. Chances are you'll need to wipe the dust off the USB Big Fan's blades once every few weeks unless you want a dust bunny colony to begin.

Disky sells pre-loaded MP3 players

Disky sells pre-loaded MP3 playersDisky from the Netherlands actually sells a quartet of different MP3 players that come with two hours of pre-loaded music, retailing to the tune of 19.90 Euros. At such a cheap price, you must be wondering what the catch is. Apparently, the tracks that come with these MP3 players cannot be removed or replaced, making them effectively a modern day CD. With only four MP3 players to choose from, you'd be hard pressed to listen to the same tunes from the 70s and 80s day in and day out. Disky has plans to release additional MP3 players in the future, but I highly doubt the ability for these devices to take off on a big scale. People want to be in control of their music and not otherwise.

Centerfold guitar takes after origami

Centerfold guitar takes after origami

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but the Centerfold guitar isn't exactly a breeding ground for topless models wearing nothing but a guitar to protect their modesty. This is actually a real life guitar that can be folded into half for easy transport. Such an action requires merely 20 seconds to stow away. Hand built from scratch, the Centerfold guitar actually manages to stay in tune for the most part even after unfolding, where someone with my (lack of) musical ability won't be able to tell whether the guitar is out of tune or not. The price to pay for such uniqueness? $3,370 a pop.

Is Curry's killing the mix tape

mixtape.jpgCurry's has announced that they will no longer be selling cassette tapes. They predict that this Christmas season will mark the last time they sell any hi-fi systems with a cassette player attached. While the past 15 years have seen the decline of cassette tapes, there are an estimated 500 million tapes still in circulation. Considering HMV and Woolworths have stopped stocking cassettes, Curry's is the last High Street shop to stop selling the little plastic rectangles of wonder. Personally, I think this sucks. You can't kill mixed tapes! You just wait and see!
