Today's blog post is firstly dedicated to the three men from Beaconsfield, Tasmania, two of which we today joyously celebrate their "Great Escape" and the other we mourn. It was once said to "Rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn" and in this country of ours where mateship is the backbone let us rejoice with Todd Russell and Brant Webb and mourn with the family of Larry Knight.
This morning I thought it appropriate to add a gadget fitting for this day in history. And after almost an hour of scouring, I came across the Smith & Wesson Fob Watch with Compass and Laser Pointer. It's a fob watch which includes a compass, laser pointer and is attached using the included belt clip. Made by Smith & Wesson, this watch is nicely presented in a metalic gift box.
Features of the Smith & Wesson Fob Watch with Compass & Laser Pointer:
- Japanese Quartz
- Laser Pointer
- Compass
- Belt clip
- Luminous Hands
- Attractive Metal Gift Box

I had to look twice when I saw the specs and then price of the Benq FP202W 20inch LCD Monitor! A 20inch widescreen LCD with a quoted response time of 8ms... and under $800! Magnificent!! For those of out there who are sceptical about these impressive specs, even if the screen performed at 10-15ms, it still has a response time that is more than adequate for playing games and watching DVD's.
Ghosting is annoying and whenever searching for a screen you shouldn't settle for anything that has a response time of greater than 15ms. If you do you will see that dreaded blurry effect during faster movements on the screen. In the past, to use an LCD of greater than 17inch and expect no ghosting was just a dream. However it is now reality with 19, and now 20inch, LCD's being more than up to the task! Just make sure you have a graphics card powerful enough to drive the 1680 x 1050 native resolution of this beauty!
Features of the Benq FP202W 20inch LCD Monitor:
* 51cm (20") LCD Monitor
* Black in colour
* Native WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050) resolution
* BenQ Senseye Technology
* 300cd/m2 brightness
* High 600:1 contrast ratio
* 8ms response time
* D-Sub & DVI-D inputs
* Colour - Black

Add to myYahoo!Oooooh boy.I thought that $400 was pushing it a bit for the Xbox 360, but Sony ups the ante with a $499 launch price in U.S. on Nov. 17.Yeah, this was a big announcement of E3. Add to myYahoo!A couple of years ago, or it’s actually almost 10 years ago, I worked as Editor-In-Chief for a Swedish gaming site called Solgames - Gamespot Scandinavia. Every year we went to the E3 Expo in the U.S. and it was always the highlight of the year. I almost never play games anymore, but I [...]

Add to myYahoo!Before all you fanboys get so excited that you pee a little, I hope you take a brief moment to download the E3TV / PermissionTV Player. This application rocks. It will stream all three of the major press conferences from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, FULLSCREEN AND FREE OF CHARGE. If you have to go to school or work (What? You used up your vacation already? Call in sick already), the media player will download the press conferences for later viewing. So don't fret about paying Gamespot for a subscription or battling 1UP users for bandwidth. This media gobstopper of a goodie is coming directly from E3Insider.com, the official news site of E3.
Also, if you enjoyed last years Floored and FanCam blogcasts, the E3TV app will work like a podcast retriever and download those episodes for you as soon as they become available.
Hurry, the Sony event is only a couple of hours away. Download now before their server bogs up.
