HP shows off Flash on their slate

HP has uploaded a brand new video of its Windows 7 slate device that features Adobe's Flash running in full glory, taking a direct jab at the iPad simultaneously. This clip parades the tablet's ability to run Flash for sites such as Hulu as well as AIR for out-of-browser apps like Pandora radio. According to the presenters in the video, the right hardware will boost Flash's capability on the slate device, and a sole battery charge ought to have it run for hours and hours on end, even where HD video is concerned.

Nokia Stealth and Dragonfly concept phones

Nokia Stealth and Dragonfly concept phones

Nokia's Stealth and Dragonfly concept phones do look rather interesting, with the former being a mid-range handset, obviously inspired by stealth aircraft in its design that boasts an “ergonomically sculpted keypad, easy to navigate by touch sensations.” As for the Nokia Dragonfly, this more or less resembles an entry-level handset, although certain quarters might deem it to be a whole lot better looking compared to the Stealth. We do wonder whether anyone from Nokia will pick either design up or not.

Eee PC 1005PR is now official

Eee PC 1005PR is now official

The folks over at Asus decided to make the Eee PC 1005PR official by putting up its page online, making it the latest member of the Eee PC Seashell family. You will find the Broadcom Crystal HD graphics accelerator inside, which translates to smooth playback of high definition quality video on your little netbook - something not all netbooks can claim to do. Apart from that, Asus has kindly included ArcSoft Total Media Theater software that makes it a snap to watch HD videos right from the get go. Other specifications include a 10.1" LED Backlight WXGA display, an Intel Atom Pineview N450 processor, 1GB RAM, a 250GB hard drive, the Broadcom BCM 70015 chipset, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity as well as Windows 7 Starter Edition holding everything together.

Google and Dish Network working on TV search
service

Google and Dish Network working on TV search service

Hmmm, is Google so overwhelming that they're going to expand their search service to TVs? We suppose so, with Google and Dish Network coming together to test a TV search service on a brand new box which has elements of the Android operating system within. The box itself will come with a QWERTY remote, where you can look for Dish content as well as take advantage of other services including YouTube. This collaboration won't be arriving at consumers' doorsteps anytime soon, but will instead be "limited to a very small number of Google employees and their families and could be discontinued at any time" where trials are concerned.
