Solar Powered Mango Lights

Solar Powered Mango Lights

Would you want your porch to be decorated with solar-powered lamps that look like mangoes? That’s what Carlos Cepeda Danes is thinking, and he’s come up with the design for these solar-powered lanterns that look like mangoes. It will sport solar cells inside it, and will charge when the sun is on, and light up when the sun is down, fairly simple. Danes does suggest that the exterior might be made from drying the actual Totumo fruit, which looks a lot like a mango. Would you want a real solar-powered fruit lighting up your driveway?

The display will sport a 16:9 aspect ratio for high definition graphics, and there is also a user-friendly GUI, multilingual backup system and a whole bunch of other stuff. Castoven Plays YouTube While Heating Food

Castoven Plays YouTube While Heating Food

Have you ever popped some food into the microwave, hit 3-minutes on the timer, and then hung around with literally nothing to do while waiting for the food to be heated up? Well, if the Castoven ever becomes a consumer product, you might be watching YouTube clips in the future. This prototype microwave sports a built-in 10.4-inch LCD display on the door, along with a pair of speakers. While it needs to be hooked up to a computer to work, it will find and play a random YouTube clip which is similar to the length of time you’ve set on the timer, cool huh? Check out a video of it in action here.
