We recently got some information on the Android 2.2-powered Huawei Ideos and now reports are in that T-Mobile USA is planning to bring the budget Android phone to the US by the end of the year. Pricing wasn't mentioned just yet, but with the Ideos likely to cost under $200 even without a contract, it could possibly go for as low as $50 on a two-year contract, making it the first Huawei smartphone in the US and will offer most of the core Android features on a phone without burning a hole in your pocket. The Huawei Ideos offers specifications such as:

A Korean company, Hankuk Relay, has showcased some interesting technology at ENTECH 2010, namely the company's new wind lightings and a solar light tracer system. The wind lightings include a range of wind turbines that will respond to the lightest winds to generate renewable electricity, making it suitable for locations that have little sound pollution, such as parks and pathways. The solar light tracer system is a device that aims to improve the power efficiency of solar panels, allowing them to spin along with the sun's movement, allowing the solar cells to generate a good 1.5 times more energy. This technology can be applied to hybrid street lamps or even solar-powered street lamps.

With automotive manufacturers trying to outdo each other with green vehicles, Hyundai is trying to get one over its rivals by announcing that its hydrogen fuel cell vehicle (FCEV) will be shipping in 2012, and the company already has plans to sell 1,000 units in 2013, and 10,000 units by 2015. The exact technology that Hyundai will be using wasn't mentioned, but you can bet that it will have rivals sweating slightly.

Solar-powered watches aren't a technological breakthrough as we've seen similar products before, but the Sol Watch hides its solar cell cleverly in the watch strap, as opposed to the watch face like most solar watches out there. The tiny solar panel claims to be able to extend the watch's battery life by an additional 50 percent, and the band and case are made from polyurethane, making them water resistant. That being said, it might seem a tad expensive to most folks at $100.

Google has sent out some pretty looking invites to members of the press, promising to show off Google's latest technological innovation and giving us an inside look at the evolution of Google search. It wasn't specifically mentioned what would be announced, but considering that it’s held at San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), speculation is that it might be related to Google's image-based search app, Goggles. Goggles is already available for Android, and it's expected to be launched on iOS before the end of the year. Perhaps this event is something related to it, and we'll find out for sure in a few day's time.
