Facebook now lets you buy and sell stocks

Facebook Stocks

I’ve previously mentioned that Facebook was on its way to taking over the internet, and it looks like the social network is on its way there. We now have one more thing to add to the list of things Facebook can do with its service: let you buy and sell stocks.

Loyal3, a stock transfer agent, together in a partnership with Nasdaq, now lets users purchase and sell stocks using their favorite social networking service in a transaction that is completed in three clicks. Consumers pay no transaction fee, can purchase shares in amounts as small as $10, and can share with their friends about their trade on Facebook.

While Facebook isn’t diverging away from what it initially was ? it still has the same features it started with ? keeping in touch with your friends and family, it seems to be extending its reach to every corner of the internet. From games to movie rentals, and now stocks ? I wonder what’s next for the social network?

PS Vita will cost $250/$300 and comes out this
holiday season

The PS Vita (vee-tah!) was announced in January, and although we knew most of the devices specs, Sony didn’t announce any pricing or release dates. Today at Sony’s E3 press conference, Sony let loose all of that info. According to Sony Bend, they’ve been working on PS Vita hardware for over two years!

There were reports that the PS Vita would suffer a delay due to the earthquake in Japan, but Sony’s official stance is that there is no delay – it will come out this holiday season!

Before we go into all the details, on Vita’s pricing and release, Sony announced a few prominent features: voice chat and Near. Gamers will be able to voice chat any time with a headset and Near will let them discover new gamers/what other gamers are players are playing and compare Trophies.

Sony unveils new PlayStation-branded monitor

For $499, Sony’s planning to broaden the 3D market with its own 24-inch 3D monitor. The entire bundle will come with the 3D monitor, one pair of 3D glasses, a copy of Resistance 3 and a six foot long HDMI cable. Sony says the 3D monitor is perfect for college dorms and family homes. But, that’s not what’s special about the PlayStation 3D monitor.

The most exciting thing about the monitor, aside from doing three dee is that two player 3D does not force gamers into split-screen mode. Player 1 will see his screen with his 3D glasses on and player 2 will see his screen through his 3D glasses. Player 1 can’t see player 2 and vice versa. How cool is that?
