Logitech-cube [CES 2012] Earlier this week we reported about Logitech’s upcoming Cube mouse which defied all conventional mouse design. [CES 2012] Mionix, a Swedish manufacturer of professional high-end gaming accessories will be introducing the Zibal 60 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard at CES this year. Touted to be a fusion of “the best keyboard components and great gaming features”, the Zibal 60 is said to give your game the edge that you have been searching for. All fluff aside, the Zibal 60 is built with non-tactile, mechanical, black cherry MX switches, lit up by multi-level backlight illumination, and support for up to six simultaneous keystrokes.

The keyboard also features a two-port USB 2.0 hub, audio/mic extensions, media control keys, detachable wrist rest, and “rage proof durability” (which probably means it’s a suitable keyboard for hot-tempered gamers). Mionix will be demonstrating the Zibal 60 at CES 2012 next week so if you happen to be at the ShowStoppers event on January 10^th, you can give it a spin.

Tuff Tunes Radio can take a beating

Behringer has just announced the launch of a new product called the Tuff Tunes radio. Touted to be indestructible, this water resistant AM/FM radio is protected by a heavy-duty roll cage that is built to let it withstand “severe abuse”. Powered by a rechargeable battery pack, the Tuff Tunes radio will let you listen to your favorite tunes in places like construction sites without you having to worry about the radio rolling off somewhere and getting damaged in the process.

And if radio reception is bad, or you’re tired of hearing music you don’t like, it features an auxiliary port which you can use to plug in your iPod, phone, CD player or phone to play your own music. Pricing and availability is yet to be determined at the time of writing.

Infinity Blade makes over $30 million in 2011

If you thought that Angry Birds is the only successful game on iOS devices, you’re going to be in for a surprise. In an official press release, Chair Entertainment, the creators of Infinity Blade announced that they racked up over $30 million from sales of the original Infinity Blade in addition to its sequel: Infinity Blade 2 that was released in 2011, and other games based on the IP such as the digital novel, original soundtrack release and the arcade version of the game.

But what’s probably the most important aspect of this report is that the game is iOS only and can manage to be this successful. Sure they’ve got one arcade version of the game, but the core aspect of the game is only on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch ? it is nowhere to be found on Android and Windows Phone or even on Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft consoles. Sure, most companies aren’t willing to do such a thing, but this proves that if a game has a winning recipe, iOS alone has more than enough paying customers to ensure its success.
