USB Airplane keeps you cool

USB Airplane keeps you cool
When things get too hot at the office, it would be nice to have something like this USB Airplane to cool down the temperature. Masquerading as a desktop fan, this cute little airplane will never be able to make its maiden flight, but then again that is not its purpose. All you need to do is plug it into any available USB port and you're good to go. The propellers are extremely soft, so you won't run into the risk of slicing your fingers off accidentally. No idea on how much it costs nor when will it be available.

TVonics eco-friendly DVR-FP250

TVonics eco-friendly DVR-FP250

TVonics has just announced their new eco-friendly DVR-FP250 that consumes a mere 3.5 watts of power in standby mode - that's far more efficient than the industry average of 11 watts. The DVR-FP250 is also the only DVR currently available that has been approved by the Energy Saving Trust. Not only that, it is made from recyclable aluminum, so you might actually have the remnants of last Superbowl's beer can right in your living room in its reincarnated form. Features of the DVR-FP250 include Freeview Playback accreditation meaning and an automatically adjusting programme recording time. Not only that, the DVR-FP250 can also record up to 125 hours of TV from over 40 free digital TV channels when hooked up directly to any existing analogue, LCD, plasma TV or projector.

WE EVO570 Standalone GPRS Camera

WE EVO570 Standalone GPRS Camera

The WE EVO570 Standalone GPRS Camera is used to transmit images via cellular networks whenever the integrated motion detection system is triggered by movement. Other features include two-way audio and the ability to hop on the HSDPA bandwagon in order to transmit even clearer images. A CF memory card is used as the storage medium of choice. I suppose this is great if you want to monitor your kids at home while you're away at the office, where you will be able to bark commands whenever your progeny gets a little bit too unruly for the babysitter.

Penguin USB flash drives

Penguin USB flash drives
Check out this Penguin USB flash drive that definitely oozes with cuteness, featuring the customary striped carves that we all know and love. Revealing the USB connector could prove rather disconcerting for some though as their heads will need to flip open instead. Each of these flightless birds have a 1GB storage capacity which isn't much by today's standards, but let's face it - you didn't pick this up just for the storage. The Penguin USB flash drive will retail for approximately $34 a pop and will come in blue, grey, and black variants.

Logic3 SoundStation3 for the PS3

Logic3 SoundStation3 for the PS3Logic3 has just launched the SoundStation3 for the PS3 which is said to bring a greater degree of realism to your gaming and cinematic experience. The speaker system carries 20 watts of RMS sound and features symmetrical speaker satellites that mirror the PS3 design. You also get a trio of preset equalizer settings that cater for gaming, music, and movie sessions. Is it just me or does the number 3 here carry any significant meaning? You can also hook up the SoundStation3 to other portable audio devices courtesy of a 3.5mm jack. I think most people will use this for purposes other than the PS3 since the library of games on Sony's latest console isn't exactly encouraging. You can pick up the SoundStation3 for £69.99.

Philips GoGear SA6100

Philips GoGear SA6100Philips announced the GoGear SA6100 at IFA 2007, and we do know that this portable media player will come in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB capacities courtesy of flash memory. Other features include stereo speakers, a larger 65k color LCD screen at 320 x 240 pixels, and spartan format support - how does mere MP3, WMA (DRM), JPG, and WMV sound to you? Not very appealing, especially after you consider how the iPod nano has evolved. Battery life has been rated at 20 hours for audio playback and one fifth that amount for video.

Sony unleashes Nav-u GPS

Sony unleashes Nav-u GPS

Sony has just unveiled the Nav-u GPS range of devices in Europe that boasts Bluetooth connectivity, enabling you to carry out your conversations while keeping both hands on the wheel in order to avoid any unwanted accidents (that said, who wants accidents in the first place anyway?). Other features include a 4.8" display, live traffic information, and a respectable amount of European maps. The NV-U73T and NV-U53 nav-u personal navigation devices miss out on Bluetooth though, while most of the other specifications remain the same as the Bluetooth-enabled NV-U93T and NV-U83T. The "Gesture Command" is unique as you can simply scribble symbols on the screen that will then be translated to directions home or to a different destination. All four models will arrive in Europe this November, with prices ranging from from 249 to 379 Euros.
