Theoretically, the ADE 651 handheld detector ought to be a firm favorite with military types as this device supposedly sniffs out bombs, guns, drugs and human bodies within a one kilometer radius, but there is one huge problem - it does not seem to function as it should be. This could prove to be an embarrassment for the US government after purchasing 1,500 of such detectors that retail from $16,500 to $60,000 each, depending on the model and type.

Once in a while something weird and whacked out comes along, and today we have the Thanko USB Bust Beauty Pad gracing our pages. The device is pretty self-explanatory - slip these U-shaped pads under your bra (if you're wearing one) and wait for its warmth to envelope you while you concentrate on your work a whole lot better. Meant to last up to six months, the Thanko USB Bust Beauty Pad will retail for approximately $20 (and it comes with free ridicule from your colleagues and family).

A farming family has decided to give Meadow their calf a chance to walk normally, hence enlisted the help of veterinarians and students at Colorado State University to help her with prosthetics. This is the first calf of its kind that is believed to boast double prosthetics, where the procedure itself cost thousands of dollars. Gues this is one calf that won't end up as steak on somebody else's plate anytime soon considering the amount of investment that went into her!

Add to myYahoo! We suspect that the PrintBrush is more or less the ideal printer for most people, after all, who can argue against a small, fast and silent device? All you need to do with the PrintBrush is wave it back and forth over a piece of paper as seen in the video above, where it will cover a full size sheet of paper at 600 dpi in black and white, relying on Bluetooth connectivity to print sans wires. It is capable of printing on any flat surface of your choice, which includes letters and fabric. This is made possible thanks to a built-in accurate optical sensor that can also detect tilt, rotation and translation. Meant to hit the market from early next year onwards for $199 a pop, this looks set to be a novel hit.
