HTC One S owners, if you wish that your phone came with a built-in kickstand, unfortunately that will not be happening. However an alternative has been provided by none other than HTC themselves by introducing a series of protective cases designed for the One S in mind. These hard plastic cases will come in a variety of different colors and will offer owners some level of protection, although we do not recommend you put it to the test. Based on the design (pictured above), it should be sufficient to prevent scratches at the back of your phone at the very least. However we guess that isn?t the point and if you?re willing to fork out an additional $15, you can get your hands on the same case except this time it will feature a spring-loaded aluminum kickstand. These cases are expected to be made available ?soon? and will set you back $24.99 for the regular version, and $39.99 for the kickstand version. So, any takers?

If you?ve purchased either the Nikon D4 or the D800, you might be one of the unlucky owners who is currently experiencing camera lockups. This issue has been reported on last month whereby the camera basically becomes unresponsive until the battery has been removed and reinserted. The good news is that Nikon has since come forward with a statement acknowledging the issue and is currently working on a more permanent solution. In the mean time, the Japanese camera manufacturer has offered users a temporary solution which they claim will provide a fix until a more permanent method can be found. This involves users turning off both ?Highlights? and ?RGB Histogram? display options in the ?Playback Display Options? sub-menu. If you?re a D4/D800 owner and you?re experiencing the problem described above, check out Nikon?s temporary solution and let us know how that worked out for you.

If you?re interested in checking out cool concept watches, this Gravity LCD watch by Sam from Germany has to be one of the more interesting concept watches we?ve seen to date. As the name and the rendering above might have already implied, the Gravity LCD watch is basically an LCD watch whereby the numbers of the display are tumbling around depending on the watch?s orientation. This will be achieved by a built-in tilt sensor and a program that will translate the orientation into gravity data.
So how will one be able to tell the time? Simple. As long as the wearer?s finger does not touch the display, the numbers will continue to free fall. However once the wearer touches a portion of the watch with their finger, the numbers will automatically align into two rows – one for the time and one for the date. A backlight can also be activated by touching the display with half of your finger as opposed to your finger tip. The design of the watch itself looks pretty sleek and minimalist, a form which I personally tend to favor. Unfortunately it?s merely a concept at the moment so if you?d like to leave your comments or vote on it, head on over to Tokyo Flash?s website.

So while Nokia might be targeting companies like HTC, ViewSonic and RIM for alleged patent infringement, it seems that they are currently being sued as well. By whom you ask? Another rival tech company perhaps? Nope, it seems that Nokia is now the target of a class action lawsuit filed in New York by none other than their investors. It seems that these investors were a little upset when Nokia made the transition to Windows Phone which ultimately led to stock prices dropping, amongst other things (issues with the Nokia Lumia 900 at its launch was another contributing factor). According to the lawyers of Nokia?s investors: (more…)

It seems that the official Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for the HTC EVO 3D has leaked out, which puts to bed all of the other previously leaked ROMs that were not legit in the first place anyway. Team Virtuous at RootzWiki were the ones who managed to get their hands on a leaked Virgin Mobile build, and with Sprint having confirmed recently that WiMax connectivity will be provided for their prepaid services, and the aged HTC EVO 3D will be the one to carry that particular torch. The latest official leaked build is the Android 4.0.3 with Sense 3.6, and if you have the intestinal fortitude to give it a go, you might want to make a firmware upgrade prior to flashing the ROM. Since we know that an official ROM is available, I would advise you to wait for the real deal to be released officially instead of relying on a leaked copy. After all, you can never be too safe these days.
