Hummer O2 concept goes green

Hummer O2 concept goes greenWhat are some oxymorons of the day that you can think of? I'm sure that an environmentally-friendly Hummer is pretty much up there in addition to a peaceful Iraq, but that is another can of worms altogether. The Hummer O2 is a concept vehicle from the very same people who manufacture and sell gas-guzzlers, except this one actually gives a damn about Mother Nature when it is bring driven around. This unique concept vehicle will convert carbon dioxide into live-sustaining oxygen courtesy of the algae-filled side panels. Since the algae receive a healthy dose of sunlight, pumping out O2 overtime isn't too hard to do. I wonder what the Hummer O2 uses for fuel though...

Wiimote hacked into mouse

Wiimote hacked into mouseWith the amount of creative folks all over the world, it is little wonder and a matter of time before somebody managed to turn the Wiimote into a wireless Bluetooth mouse with some tweaking. Carl Keener is one ingenious bloke who purportedly created a fully functional Wiimote Bluetooth driver for Windows despite not having an actual Wiimote to work with. He claims that this driver should work in theory since he religiously followed the published input schema when it came to control mapping. Those who are willing to take up this interesting mod must first get a Bluetooth Adapter, and of course, a Wiimote. Imagine waving your hand all day long while surfing the Internet!

m300 watch phone delayed

m300 watch phone delayed

Looks like the m300 Cellphone Watch which we covered earlier this year will miss the mad Christmas holiday season, and instead is tipped to be released sometime in the middle of next year. To get your memory going, this $500 timepiece does not only double up as your cellphone, but it is capable of playing audio and video in MP3 and MPEG 4 formats respectively. Features of the m300 include a 96 x 74 pixel touchscreen, GPRS and Bluetooth connectivity, a minimum talk time of 80 hours and a standby time of 70 hours, as well as a USB port for data transfer purposes. Looks like you'll definitely need to get a Bluetooth headset to go with the m300 unless you want to look ridiculous talking to your watch in public.

Remote-controlled dragonfly toy

Remote-controlled dragonfly toyWow Wee!, manufacturer of the Robosapien, are about to roll out the Dragonfly toy that is as big as the size of your palm and meant for indoor use only, as the typical outdoor breeze will be too strong for such a tiny device such as this. This remote-controlled insect toy is constructed from crash-resisntant material and flies very much like how an actual dragonfly would - by flapping its wings vigorously with the help of a small tail rotor for stabilization purposes. There are a couple of flying modes to choose from - Beginner and Expert, which we assume the latter has more manual controls. There is currently no word on pricing or availability, but you can check out the preliminary manual here.

ShuffleBud for 2G Shuffle

ShuffleBud for 2G Shuffle
So you just snagged yourself one of those screenless 2G iPod Shuffles, but have yet to familiarize yourself with the need to syncing this tiny MP3 player. Fear not, as Incipio has already come up with a practical solution in the form of the ShuffleBud. This tiny adapter opens up the doors of USB access for your Shuffle by connecting to the 3.5mm port. Using it would mean doing away with the need to bring the Shuffle's dock and cables wherever you go as it replaces the function of both items. At $6, how can you argue against NOT getting the ShuffleBud?

HDMC-U portable hard drive a tough nut

HDMC-U portable hard drive a tough nutI admit I do suffer from the occasional case of butterfingers, which is why I am rather apprehensive of picking up any expensive gadgets and cellphones that do not belong to me. Thankfully, I-O Data has seen to this need by releasing the HDMC-U portable hard drive that treats both shocks and water as mere annoyances instead of keeling over in pain when it says hello to the concrete floor. This tough-as-nails portable hard drive also comes with a pretty mean look to go with its product image. You would think someone sporting the HDMC-U would have tattoos all over instead of a pencil-thin geek like me. You can purchase the HDMC-U from this month onwards. Choose from 8GB and 12GB capacities, with prices starting from $136 upwards.

USB key that saves your data, sees your future

7angels.jpgI'll be honest with you: I'm stunned to discover that a USB key with built-in scrying software isn't being put out by Solid Alliance. However, it seems this USB device, available in 256MB, 512MB or 1GB sizes and with the fortune-telling stylings of psychic Masako Mitaki, is in fact, from a company called Princeton. So frankly, I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

Hmm..maybe if I could one of these Seven Angel USB keys (and could read Japanese), it could tell me.
