Sticky carpool concept

Sticky carpool concept

If the world were as trusting as characters from an utopian universe, the Sticky carpool concept would definitely be a big hit on our roads. After all, this device that sticks to your window via a rubber suction cup will show off statistics concerning the vehicle's number of passengers, availability, destination and ETD (estimated time of departure) for all and sundry to view, giving you the option to hitch a right ride the first time round. Too bad reality isn’t like that, so this is one idea that has to be thrown back to the backburner for the moment…

Dell Mini 3iX seen in Brazil

Dell Mini 3iX seen in Brazil

Looks like someone managed to catch an image of the Android-powered Dell Mini 3iX smartphone in Brazil, where it looks similar to the China-bound model externally, although internally the Brazil model is superior thanks to Wi-Fi and 3G UMTS/HSDPA connectivity alongside tri-band (850/1900/2100MHz) network support. Still, there isn't any word on pricing or availability of the Dell Mini 3iX, so we'll just have to be patient with this one.

Wall-E eyes transplanted

Wall-E eyes transplanted

At least, that's the impression that we have with this rather curious robotic butler who seems to be in possession of Wall-E's eyes, albeit with an overall shape and color scheme that point towards EVE as well. Apart from the droopy eyes, nothing else is known about this robot, but we're pretty sure it doesn't compact trash into little cubes and has no feeling for cockroaches, either.

Opera Mobile 10 beta for Symbian S60 handsets

Opera has just announced that they will make Mobile 10 beta for Symbian S60 handsets available, where it will work perfectly fine on Symbian S60 3rd and 5th editions, which means your cellphone doesn't need to have a touchscreen display to get started. Touted to have double the speed of older versions for Symbian, you will also benefit from desktop-like features including Speed Dial and tabbed browsing. [Press Release]

USB Eco Button

USB Eco Button

Is there no end to the many uses of a USB port? Apparently so, with the USB Eco Button being the latest device to hit the market. Made up of a green plastic button, pressing it will turn your Windows-powered machine into an energy-saving ecomode, where the included software will help monitor and record your power usage alongside the amount of money and CO2 that the button has helped you save. No idea on how long it will take to recoup the $14 asking price for this, and is the manufacturing process of the USB Eco Button green to begin with? We also do wonder about the performance hit you will take with your computer running in ecomode.

Urban Cursor comes with integrated GPS tracker

Urban Cursor comes with integrated GPS tracker

The Urban Cursor plays on popular culture, where this project was placed on a square in Figueres, Catalunya, Spain. This oversized and pixellated cursor can be touched, moved and sat upon, where its integrated GPS tracker will then transmit its location to Google Maps. This allows people from all over the world to track just where the Urban Cursor is at that moment in time.

Roca Active & Relax Bathroom

Roca Active & Relax Bathroom

A bathroom is a bathroom is a bathroom, no? Apparently not, especially when you have the Roca Active & Relax Bathroom set up in your pad. This luxurious room will boast a sunken bath that remains invisible until the floorboards open up, revealing a trio of floor-to-ceiling LCD displays which offer you the false pretense of a panoramic view. Apart from that, you can also hook up a feed from your computer to the aforementioned displays, allowing you to view your favorite movies while soaking in a nice, hot tub of water until your fingers and toes share the same texture as prunes. This is but a concept though, so don't get too excited.
