The LeWeb conference is next month and the event now has a new website and many updates, along with a list of confirmed speakers list. The founders of LeWeb have also posted a video in which they present the speakers. You might have noticed the LeWeb banner on the right side of this site, that's because Ubergizmo is a online partner of LeWeb. As such, we will be covering the event from Paris. There is more information in the full post (including a 10% discount on some flights), see you there if you go, if not, check out our coverage of the show, starting on December 9th

Add to myYahoo!Twitter lists - has the word "lists" ever been said so often in so few hours? It seems hardly likely. A quick Shiny guide to the 'l-word phenomenon' Twitter lists eh? This is going to take about 2 hours isn't it? Should I be that bothered? Yes you should be bothered. This is Twitter's biggest update since the damn site launched and it should make the whole experience a lot better. A whole lot better. How much better? ![]()

Add to myYahoo!Surfacescapes Demo Walkthrough from Surfacescapes on Vimeo.
The SurfaceScapes project is the brainchild of students from Carnegie Mellon's Entertainment Technology Center (ETC), where it will deliver a proof-of-concept for playing tabletop role-playing games on the Microsoft Surface Table. Dungeons & Dragons was the natural choice when it came to testing the prototype, making us salivate in anticipation should this be a success. Of course, this won't kill off ordinary tabletop gaming as we're sure the entry price would sit well only with a handful of folks, but it will be a top class draw in virtually any gaming expo or convention.
