HTC Touch HD2 Supports Android Market

HTC Touch HD2 Supports Android Market?

To err is part of being human, but that certainly doesn’t mean that we can’t have a laugh at the expense of others sometimes, right? Either someone make a funny mistake, or this is really big news (we’re vouching for the “mistake”). A page on T-Mobile UK’s site shows that the HTC Touch HD2 will allow users to “choose from loads of applications to download from Android Market”. We’re very sure that the HTC Touch HD2 runs on Windows Mobile, so this is most likely a mistake. That being said, it would be rather nice if we could install Android apps on Windows Mobile, don’t you think?

Face Detection Attendance System

Want to rule the office with an iron fist? Well, if that’s the case, you’ll a facial recognition time attendance system, like the CVJB-G107 (pictured above). This device uses a set of digital cameras that can be used in the dark to track the attendance of your employees via facial recognition. The system utilizes dual cameras to create a 3D image of each face in the database, do the old trick of showing getting someone to show a photo of you to the system won’t work (too bad). The system is going for just over $480, which isn’t too bad, if you’re the type who values total control in the office place.

New Blob Material Responds To Magnetism

New Blob Material Responds To Magnetism

Material that hardens and softens depending on the situation is always cool, after all, we fairly sure some of you want to make your own Iron Man costume sometime in the near future. A team of researchers at Japan’s Yamagata University have come up with a substance, a mix between high polymer and iron oxide granules, that when subjected to a magnetic field that is 300 milli-tesla strong, will harden 300-fold in under one second become up to 500 times stiffer than plastic. Science is really cool, don’t you think? Now we’ll just have to wait until somebody puts this into mass production and we can have some fun with it.
