What you see above could very well be the sequel to last year?s Samsung Stratosphere, the first LTE capable sliding QWERTY smartphone from Verizon Wireless. Retailing for $149.99 a pop with a new 2-year contract, it is clearly a mid-range smartphone from the beginning, and needless to say, it is about time for a sequel to hit the market. Since August, we have seen specifications for the Samsung Stratosphere 2 bandied about the Internet in the form of rumors, and it does seem as though the Samsung Stratosphere 2 is going to rankle among the mid-range device markets once again.
Evleaks are the folks behind the latest Samsung Stratosphere 2 image leaks, where an image tweeted shows more of the side-sliding QWERTY smartphone. It does seem to come with a slightly larger display, not to mention the almost certain possibility of a faster processor and perhaps an improved camera sensor, but other than that, it is not going to challenge the likes of the Galaxy S3 or the HTC One X+.

Here is a wee bit of news that folks in China, the world?s most populous country, would find interesting if they happen to be users of Microsoft products, especially Microsoft Windows Azure and Office 365. It seems that Microsoft?s cloud service is headed in that direction without any of the torrential rains associated with it, although the Chinese offerings will be under the supervision of 21Vianet, a data center services company that is based in China. Microsoft took the route of licensing their technology instead of serving it up themselves, meaning the service will be subject to Chinese law instead of U.S. law.
According to a Forrester research, the ?public cloud market in China will grow from $297 million in 2011 to $3.8 billion in 2020.? This is definitely another way for Microsoft to grow their revenue, especially after seeing the success of Amazon Web Services that currently is tipped to run approximately one percent of the Internet. Google and the rest of the crowd are trying to play catch up here, and Microsoft does not want to lose out on the rather lucrative pie.

Some of the more expensive vehicles out there come with run flat tires that will ensure you have enough mileage in your wheels to reach a nearby automobile repair shop to get those tires fixed. For folks on a bicycle, replacing a punctured tire can be quite a thankless task, but Britek Tire and Rubber has another idea – how about an airless tire which will do away with flats for good, while converting stored energy into forward momentum? This is what the Energy Return Wheel (ERW) is all about, where it sports an internal rubber layer that can be stretched and held taut by adjustable rods.
The tire boasts of a rubber tread located on the outside, while there is a series of elastic cushions in the space between. The bicycle tire itself is rather lightweight thanks to 29-inch carbon fiber rims, and will remain open on the sides. Not only is cycling safer and more efficient with the ERW, it will also allow you to let obstacles slide under the ERW wheels with precision and ideal comfort, ensuring that the tread remains on the tire.

Near the end of last month, there was the Apple vs Samsung UK court case which happened because Cupertino claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 resembled the iPad too much for Apple?s liking, but the UK court deemed Samsung to be the innocent party and asked Apple to post an apology on their website. Apple did apologize without apologizing, and the entire posting reeked of pride, claiming that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 was not as cool as the iPad. Good to know that the UK court is not going to stand for Apple?s shenanigans, letting Apple know that they have 48 hours to comply with the latest order to change their statement and post it up on their website.
Lord Justice Longmore,Lord Justice Kitchin, and Sir Robin Jacob mentioned that they were certainly not pleased with Apple?s non-apology, and touted that they have a 48 hour time window to post the apology in at least an 11 point font. Something tells me that Apple will do so with an 11 point font, nothing larger than that, and Apple even had the gall to say that they need at least 2 weeks to correct their statement. This reeks of immaturity, and is there some sort of culture at Apple that makes them think they are above the law and need not bow down to anyone even though they are in the wrong?

The Underwood USB Typewriter is not exactly the newest kid on the block, and by jove, it is not even the most useful device to own on your desk. The thing is, there is a tinge of nostalgia attached to the Underwood USB Typewriter for baby boomers who are now rocking to their touchscreen devices like the iPad and Samsung Galaxy S3. For starters, the Underwood USB Typewriter is touted to be a fully functional keyboard for your computer – whether it runs on Windows or Mountain Lion, that does not matter.
Not only that, it brings back memories of yore, sporting the now irritating clickety click sounds as well as carriage return bells from the previous century. Heck, you can even opt to type with ink on paper – doing so while simultaneously typing on your digital device. The thing is, when you use ink on paper, there is no turning back whenever you make a mistake, unless you want to enlarge your Tipp Ex collection. Jack Zelkyn is selling the Underwood USB Typewriter on his Etsy shop, where a DIY conversion kit costs approximately $80. If you are too lazy to do so, then Jack will get the job done for you from start to finish at a rather hefty $699.
