Do you remember the rumor going around that NVIDIA Tegra 2 devices were going to be delayed due to some vague issues with the Tegra 2 chip? Fortunately it seems that it isn’t true, and the graphics giant has said the Tegra products are already being shipped to companies, who will release it when complete. Hopefully we’ll be able to look forward to see some announcements in the next few months, after all, we certainly don’t want any cool devices to be delayed, right?

Add to myYahoo! The folks at Google once again confirm their brilliance with yet another port of the Quake II game engine, this time round running on HTML5 without the need for flash or plug-ins.
We started with the existing Jake2 Java port of the Quake II engine, then used the Google Web Toolkit (along with WebGL, WebSockets, and a lot of refactoring) to cross-compile it into Javascript. You can see the results in the video above — we were honestly a bit surprised when we saw it pushing over 30 frames per second on our laptops (your mileage may vary)!
Will wonders never cease? Hats off to the folks at Google! Just in case you were wondering, we also covered previous news on Quake ports here, here and here.

Let's face it - the netbook isn't exactly a multimedia powerhouse, and most of them do not come with a DVD drive, making notebooks the preferred choice for watching movies when you're on the go (assuming you don't own a portable media player, that is). While many modern notebooks now come with High Definition displays, why not take it another step further with the EzAir wireless HDMI kit as it enables your notebook to play a HD video on your HDTV without running the risk of tripping over some nasty cables and wires? Nice to know it supports netbooks as well, although netbooks that can handle HD videos are still few and far in between. The EzAir wireless HDMI kit retails for $147 a pop and will hit Japan this April 12th, with no word on availability across the Pacific.

Add to myYahoo! The classrooms of the future, assuming students do not study remotely, should see the removal of traditional blackboards as they are replaced by the electronic variety. Of course, this will definitely increase the cost of education, but it will also open up a whole new world of studying and learning unlike before. The mimio Xi electronic blackboard comes complete with a 65" full HD LCD TV panel, where it also boasts a special sensor that allows the user to control whatever is displayed via a computer using an electronic pen. The wireless tablet known as Mimio Pad also allows users to control the computer and write onto the board within a 10 meter radius. What price for this, you ask? Oh, not too much - only a mere $7,800 thereabouts.

Love gaming on your computer, and wish that you were a professional gamer? Chances are your rig would be a pretty high end one, or if you are currently looking for an opportunity to upgrade your machine, you might want to check out the Asus ROG MATRIX 5870 graphics card from Asus' Republic of Gamers line. It is based on the ATI Radeon 5870 reference, although Asus has tweaked the MATRIX 5870 to exceed the standard design in every way, offering 2GB of GDDR5 RAM running at 4.8GHz, true 256-bit interface, and an 894MHz core clock. You can be sure you will need to fork out more than a pretty penny for this puppy.

The NOKLAE97-1 might take a stab at the Nokia name and typeface, but this time round the manufacturers did not clone any particular Nokia handset, instead coming up with an original design of their own (now that's something new!) Available in pink and white colors, this $80 handset comes with a dual SIM card slot, GSM 900/1800MHz support, a 2.4" touchscreen display at 240 x 320 resolution, a camera of unknown megapixel count, a microSD memory card slot and 88MB of internal memory. No idea on the operating system used here, but it definitely ain't gonna be Symbian!
