The fastest growing segment of Wii players might be... the OAP crowd. The golden-years set are putting down their knitting and whittling (if indeed anybody still knows how to knit or whittle and isn't just an indie punk) in favour of the Wiimote. Residents of the Sunrise Home in Birmingham, ranging in age from 80 to 103, are getting "quite competitive" with the console game, featuring tennis, bowling and boxing. It all began when a chef brought in the console to while away his own breaks, and the breaks turned into an outbreak of Wii fever. Doubtless Grand Theft Auto gangs are only a tax refund away.
