Spring Design has let loose the Alex - the first Google Android-powered e-book reader that comes with full browser capabilities, and taking a cue from Nintendo's books, along with a patented dual screen display known as the Duet Navigator. This revolutionary device aims to liven up text with multimedia links for you to make a quick reference when required, helping increase the secondary publications industry by enhancing the original text. The Alex will rely on a revolutionary dual-screen display design, boasting Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. An SD memory card slot is also thrown in for expansion purposes. Features include a 6" E-Ink EPD display and a 3.5" color LCD display, earphones and speakers. There is no word on pricing as at press time though. [Press Release]
