Bluetooth to consume less power from next year onwards

Bluetooth to consume less power from next year onwards

Bluetooth technology hasn't really progressed that much since it debuted many years ago, and most of the time these days it is used more for hands-free devices instead of other more creative uses, though we can't really blame the technology for that due to its inherent limitations. While much better than IR, it does place a strain on the battery, but that could very well change in the future with a new lower power Bluetooth system-on-a-chip design from Texas Instruments that touts over a year of operation using a single button-cell battery.
