While the idea of Wi-Fi detecting shoes are cute, I don't think they'll catch on anytime soon. After all, many of us already carry Wi-Fi capable devices like smartphones and iPods that is able to sniff out those wireless oases in an instant. Still, that has not stopped folk from coming up with the Wi-Fi detecting shoes concept that features a sensor built right into the sole. This sensor is pressure sensitive, powering the Wi-Fi detector whenever you walk. LEDs are located on the shoe's tongue to shoe just how strong the signal is at the moment, but how are you going to differentiate between a gazillion networks in an urban area?
