iRiver has slipped in the D5 multimedia e-dictionary quietly without any fanfare, bringing an electronic tome in a clamshell form factor that comes in two memory capacities - 2GB and 4GB, which will retail for $299.99 and $349.99, respectively. These are also the first e-dictionaries in the company's Dicple series to ever be sold in the US. Some of the features include :-
- 3" 480 x 272 TFT display
- 52-key QWERTY keyboard
- Dictionaries: Korean-English, English-English, Korean-Japanese, Korean-Chinese
- Audio: MP3, WMA, ASF, OGG
- Video: AVI (MPEG-4 SP)
- Photo: JPG (3600 x 2400), GIFT (1024 x 768), BMP (1024 x 768)
- Text viewer
- FM radio
- Voice recorder
Would you actually fork out that much dough for a portable media player? Granted, it does come with an electronic dictionary in different languages, but how many of us actually need that anyways?
