Could Apple be releasing a mobile gaming platform

Apple, Apple, Apple. Why must you try and dominate everything and every aspect of the technological market? I guess with the gaming industry being the huge success that it is today, Apple has decided to give it another go. For those who don't know, Apple released the Pippin in the mid-1990s and failed miserably to set the market alight with its technology.
