BlueAnt looks like it’s serious about making itself stand out from the competition, and the announcement of its upcoming BlueAnt Q1 Android application should be a good way to do so. The app will communicate with the existing BlueAnt Q1 Bluetooth headset, allowing users to listen to their text messages read aloud. So when you receive a text message, the Q1 headset will notify you that a message has been received, after which it will read the sender’s phone number, followed by the full text message using a text-to-speech engine. The app will require Android 2.0 or above, so make sure your phone is running the latest Android version in order to take advantage of this.
