The F-35B Supersonic Jet Can Hover In Midair

While helicopters do it all the time, how often do you see supersonic stealth jets sport Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) feats? The F-35B is the first supersonic jet to boast such abilities, and it managed to remain stationary 150 feet above the runway at the Patuxent River naval base in Maryland. Check out a video of the F-35B hovering midair after the jump, seemingly like a clip from a Spielberg movie.
