iFixit does a number on iPhone 4's gyroscope

Seems that iFixit wasn't just content at taking the iPhone 4 apart, as they have also gone the proverbial extra mile by taking the latest hot selling Apple smartphone's gyroscope apart, where it was found out that said gyroscope is extremely close in nature to an off-the-shelf STMicroelectronics L3G4200D gyroscope. While this bit of news might interest the more hardcore Apple fans among you, casual readers might just catch the teardown bug and admire the intricacies as well as hard work that went into putting an iPhone 4 together. Miniaturization of parts have certainly come a long way, hasn’t it?
