Stop that sinking feeling with the Waterbuoy

Just to clear up the inevitable confusion, Adam Sandler will not be wading in the ocean ready to salvage your lost family jewels. Waterbuoy - not Waterboy. Got it?

The device is the "world's first and strongest intelligent floatation device visible at night." Like a ton of other boffins have been slaving away, devising that mouthful!

Joking aside, this pocket piece of aquatic apparatus is kinda cool.

Just attach your keys, radio or favourite sailor hat (or favourite sailor for that matter, providing he weighs less than 1kg) to the keychain and should it spill, the bouy will inflate with gas, saving your gear from a one-way ticket to the abyss. Hell, stick a worm on the end on you might be lucky enough to catch supper!

The balloon inflates within seconds, lights up at night for easy discovery, can withstand 1kg, and floats for up to 24-hours - giving you plenty of time to retrieve.

The product, featured on TV series Dragon's Den, has proved such a hit with paddlers that supplies have run dryer than California during forest fire season.

Supplies are currently being replenished and will be available within a couple of weeks, priced at a reasonable £12.99.
