JVC has announced KD-NX7000 , a new combination CD/DVD player with built-in GPS navigation. The device features a 7-inch LCD, and a removable smart faceplate that includes a proximity sensor, illuminating buttons , supports media playback with navigation resources simultaneously.

The player comes preloaded with real-time traffic information for over 80 metropolitan areas in the US and Canada, with over 12 million points of interest. Maps are upgradeable, while traffic reporting relies on the built-in NAVTEQ traffic RDS tuner.

JVC is also reintroducing the KD-NX5000 combination CD/DVD/GPS device; the player includes a 40GB hard drive that can store up to 24GB of music. Users have access to over 13 million points of interest, a built-in RDS-TMC tuner, as well as Bluetooth, while the device is also adaptable to satellite radio.
