Google Screenwise collects your browsing habits for $25

Amazon gift cardHow much do you value your privacy? If it’s $25 or less, you might want to take up Google’s latest offer with its Screenwise project. Google wants to improve its products and services and make a better online experience for everyone and to do so, it wants your data. The company’s partner, Knowledge Networks, is offering up to $25 in Amazon gift cards to anybody willing to participate in the project. All you have to do is sign up, install an extension on your browser that tracks your browsing habits and you’re set.

Upon signing up, you get a $5 Amazon gift card and for every subsequent three months you’ll get an additional $5 for a maximum of $25. Sounds a bit stingy to me, especially since it’s only $5 for every three months but it looks like the program is pretty popular ? signups are closed for the moment due to an overwhelming response. What do you think? Have any of you signed up for Screenwise, or do you have any plans to?
