Olympus goes tough with new TG-820 digital camera

Is it just me, or do the digital camera companies come to an agreement to release a new range of shooters at certain seasons each year? We already took a gander at Panasonic’s tough camera lineup last month, while Canon’s PowerShot D20 rugged outdoor camera was covered yesterday, and here is Olympus’ latest rugged shooter – the TG-820. Not only is it waterproof up to 10 meters, it is also shockproof, freezeproof and crushproof – up to a certain degree, of course. I think most folks would pick up the Olympus TG-820 as an underwater camera, since it has different scene modes for our underwater shooting escapades – two instances of wide and one instance of macro.
