Seoul Semiconductor has unveiled the P4 Z-Power LED that lays claim to being the brightest LED in the world which is based on a single die light source. Capable of delivering up to 240 lumens, the P4 could potentially replace conventional fluorescent and incandescent lighting sources all over the world as a brighter and more cost effective solution. This is made possible by using Seoul Semiconductor's very own patented phosphor and packaging technologies, enabling the P4 to obtain the highest luminous flux and extraordinary reliability. This new LED, when commercialized and marketed, will target a wide variety of industries including cars, torches, and projectors amongst others.
