DVD 2 from B&O Bang & Olufsen is offering their DVD 2 as a solution for DVD playback, recording, and permanent archiving. It claims that the picture quality ranks among the best in its class, supporting a wide range of media formats. The inclusion of Guide Plus+ enables users to program a recording straight from the information shown on the TV screen. An integrated tuner allows you to record and play the same TV program simultaneously, and the included hard drive (no idea if it can be upgraded with a little technical know how) is where all information is stored. As with other B&O devices, this is definitely a beauty to look at, although I am sure there will be detractors who claim that it is nothing more than an over-glorified DVD player/recorder.
