
Ferrari will be launching its first ever gasoline-electric hybrid system in 2013. The said technology will be used and featured on the next Enzo successor. First announced in 2002, the Enzo is a gasoline-powered gorgeous cat that features a mid-engine V12 that is more than capable of running 60 miles per hour in just over 3.14 second. Top speeds can reach up to 221 miles per hour.
The Enzo is also reputed for its F1 technology that uses electrohydraulic shift transmission and carbon-fiber body. Ferrari will use its own “HY-KERS” hybrid that can slash fuel consumption by as much as 40% while minimizing the time it takes to accelerate from 0 – 200 kilometers per hour in just 3 seconds, contrary to a Ferrari that doesn’t have it.
